I’ve ordered several items from Plum, and am always happily surprised by the quality of their instruction. This is no exception. This short set has the feel of a foundational form, and incorporates the eight essential energies of the Yang form. It is not a dumbed-down set, like some others I have seen. And Mr Mancuso is a fine teacher, very clear in his explanations and movements. I particularly enjoyed the little jing demonstration at the end, and hope that this is a teaser for another dvd devoted to more of the same. Overall, I recommend this DVD highly (I have already started to teach it to my wife, who is not a practitioner; she even likes it!)

I have been practicing this set for several months and can’t recommend it highly enough. Although I have many years experience in the martial arts, this is the first set I have practiced that is developed by a contemporary teacher. It is a real treasure. It is ‘small’ enough that I can do it a couple of times at night before going to bed, for example, and still get the benefits of authentic practice. Sifu Mancuso looks to have put a great deal of thought into this form. I have practiced the Yang long set but find this a perfect complement to my other, continuing, martial practice. I would think it would benefit even a person who practiced another Chinese Martial Art and knew no Tai Chi at all…since it is based so firmly on CMA principles.
