I am long time customer of amazon and this time we are trying to get this product about 10 days before the Christmas for Christmas gift. Also Amazon promissed it will be delivered on time. But I don’t see my package and I do more research I found the company Amazon use for deliver my package is ABF. That company said in their web site, the package will be deliver after Christmas. I really don’t understand about that. In this economic like that Amazon need to review their services, if any Freighter could not do a good job then it will make Amazon will lose the trush from the customers.
I hope Amazon will be awared of that. I really like Amazon but some situations like that make me lose the trush.
Amazon should replace that freighter by another company if they could not make dead line.

After lugging this 200+ lb beast up the stairs and setting it up I excitedly jumped on for a great workout. That’s when I realized I just wasted $1300 dollars. Every rotation of the LEFT pedal assembly brought a CLUNK CLUNK! Come to find out this is a VERY COMMON PROBLEM. I then waited several weeks for a repair man to come. He gave me a time period anywhere from 2pm to 7pm on a Saturday, pretty lame but what can you do right? Well he shows up at 5:25pm, looks at it for 20 seconds and says ” Yep it’s the same thing I have seen on the other SIX Sole E35′s I had today”. In ONE day he had 6 service calls for the same problem. He said that Sole is aware of the problems from the factory and continues to ship them out as is. Then they waste time sending the wrong parts to eat up your warranty time. If I hadn’t already chopped up the box this piece of garbage would be on it’s way back to Sole…or as I refer to them now as ” Soleless “. A great example of Profit before Quality. I have heard they make a great treadmill from friends, they just make a lousy elliptical. Now I have to wait a week for a new left side assembly then another 1-2 weeks for the guy to come back and install it. It will have been 2 months of waiting before we can use it. All this while Soleless enjoys my hard earned $1300 clams. I will be calling the Better Buisness Bureau for sure on these clowns.

As stated by previous reviewers I too did alot of internet research for an elliptical. I found the Sole Elliptical had good reviews & had all the features that I wanted and looks great as well. I went over my budget trying to keep the purchase under $1,000.00 but so far its been my first week of use & well worth it. Putting it together is not a breeze – I would say it took about 2 hours with 2 people. Machine very sturdy – runs very smooth. I got the shipment 2 days earlier than expected which was great! No problem so far.

Placed an order on the Sole web site for an E35 in late November. Got an email that the unit had shipped, and was sent a tracking number that shows a delivery in early December.
2 days later I receive another email that says the unit is on backorder. What? How can I be given a tracking number with information if my unit is backordered in the first place? Email sent to Sole.
They write back and apologize for the inconvenience, but they will ship me an E55 because of the delay. Cool, a company is taking steps and is willing to keep the customer happy. No problem.
A week goes by and I call them. I check on when the E55 will be shipped. Ok it is going out in two days. Sounds great…but Sole you ARE shipping me an E55 correct? Yes sir. Ok Sole remember I have email stating you are doing this as well. Yes sir.
I get a shipping notification email that the unit has shipped. Great. Delivery date of December 8th. Terrific. December 8th gets here, guy opens up the truck gate, E35 in the truck. Where is the E55? I accept the delivery anyways because I’m tired of waiting.
Call to Sole. Sole, why did you send me an E35 when you said you would upgrade me to an E55 because of the delay? Well we just got a shipment of E35s in so we sent that instead. NOT ACCEPTABLE. You do not tell a customer you are going to do one thing and do another. I demand a refund. They agree to $150. I agree to that.
Ok, after all of that, the elliptical…The elliptical is top of the line. I am very impressed with its build quality. Very stable, heavy. Easy to follow instructions show you step by step on how to put it together. Even the bolts are segmented in their own compartment PER STEP. Very clever and no rooting around through bolts for other steps.
The elliptical is BIG. Are bedroom is big and this elliptical takes up a good portion of it.
Adjustable power incline and power resistance is AWESOME. The controls are on the top of the handle and on the display for ease of use.
A couple hints/things to watch out for on assembling:
- Mystery bolt. When you put the head mast into the body assembly, you have to physically bolt on and tighten 3 bolts in that step. DON’T FORGET THEY HAVE ANOTHER BOLT PREINSTALLED LOWER DOWN IN THE HEAD MAST YOU NEED TO TIGHTEN. So that is 4 BOLTS TOTAL. That part is very easy to miss in the instructions.
- Putting the handles on required assistance from mister rubber mallet. They went on initially, but the fit was too snug to get all the way on. The mallet helped in this regard and worked fine. Only put the handles on until they are FLUSH with the outside of the peg. If you push them on further (there is room) they will not line up with the attachment to the foot rails on the bottom, and they would be too close for you when you are just pedaling and not using the handles. Ask how I know.
- As others have said with other sole ellipticals, get the box to where you need to assemble it and unpack there. The pedals come preattached to the flywheel and it is very cumbersome to carry.
I’m happy with the purchase overall and would recommend to others to purchase as well. Although I was eventually sent the wrong machine, Sole was very nice through the whole process so I can’t fault them too much for that. I do believe they were trying to make the customer happy so it is the thought that counts. I will edit the review if we do or do not in fact see the refund of $150 that they promised.
